This service user has a diagnosis of moderate learning disability, cerebral palsy, communication difficulties, scoliosis of the spine and associated behaviour that challenges. She moved into our 6-bed residential care home from hospital where she had previously been segregated and detained under section 136 of the Mental Health Act due to the damage she had caused in her previous placement and to herself. We work in line with Care Quality Commission, Ofsted and Government Standards and guidelines and incorporate any recommendations set out by the Department of Health. We adhere to and are aware of any new directives by the Care Quality Commission, Ofsted or local commissioning partners.
